Oyster's Story

Meet Oyster!
Sweet, playful, and completely charming-meet Oyster! This handsome black pitbull mix, with just a unique touch of dark brindle mixed into his coat, is three months old and looking for his forever family. As part of the "mushroom litter," he is at the perfect age to bond deeply with a new home and learn the ropes of being a fantastic companion. Naturally sweet-natured and full of fun, goofy puppy energy, Oyster is estimated to reach a manageable maximum weight of around 50 pounds when fully grown.
Oyster is currently thriving in his foster home, where he gets plenty of socialization hanging out with teenagers and multiple other resident dogs. He absolutely loves having playmates and is learning great manners from his various canine foster siblings. While he hasn't met cats or toddlers yet, he is at the perfect age to be easily trained to respect feline friends and will adore children in his future home with the right guidance and introductions.
Like any young puppy, Oyster is a work in progress, but he is a smart cookie who is eager to please. He is actively working on his potty training and crate training routines. With a consistent schedule and plenty of positive reinforcement, he is bound to master both in no time. If you are looking for a medium-sized companion who is ready to fill your life with puppy kisses, playtime, and loyalty, Oyster is ready to meet you. Fill out an application today to bring this sweet boy home!
Oyster's adoption fee is $425 plus MN tax which covers his neuter, vaccinations appropriate at the time of adoption, microchip and any additional medical care he may have needed while in the rescue's care.
We are a foster based rescue, we do not house dogs at a facility. Age and breed are NLR's best guess as we often don't know who or what mom and dad are. If you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application on our website www.northernlakesrescue.org
