OX's Story

OX was brought to the shelter (with ONYX) as a stray, so nothing is known about his background.

OX is about 9 - 10 months old, he weighs 75 lbs, he's had his DA2PP and bordetellla vaccines and he is listed as a Mastiff mix. OX is scheduled to be neutered in a few days (3/27/26) and will also be fully vaccinated and heart worm tested.

OX is a sweet boy, he walks nicely on a leash - he does pull a bit at first, but then settles in nicely, he takes treats gently and he knows "sit"! OX loves people and is a sweetheart of a dog - a gentle giant.

It is difficult to tell for sure in the shelter whether or not a dog is housebroken, so it is best to assume they are not and be pleasantly surprised if they are!

OX was brought in with ONYX and he gets along great with him, but they do not have to be adopted together. OX has been fine around the other shelter dogs too, but nothing is known about how he is with kids or cats since there are neither at the shelter. Please bring your kids, dog(s), and even your cat(s), if possible, to the shelter for a meet and greet with the help of the warden or deputies just to be sure everyone gets along before taking OX home!
