Outlaw (Winston)'s Story
Hi, Im Outlaw, but my friends call me Winston! Im enjoying foster life with my emotional support humans and doggie siblings, but really want to find my own forever person/family.

My ideal adopter is patient, understanding, and has experience with nervous dogs and resource guarding. Im working on learning that the outside world isnt a scary place. I need someone that is willing to support me, meet me where Im at, and give me time to fully decompress. For me, that means that I may enjoy trail walks in the woods or the occasional car ride, but may not feel comfortable with walks around a neighborhood or trips into stores.

Hanging out with my foster doggie siblings is really fun. Theyre helping me work on my confidence, especially outdoors. I would love to share my forever home with a well-matched doggie sibling to continue to help me become the best version of myself. Since I can be easily spooked by unexpected sights and sounds, I require a fenced-in yard to keep me safe.

Once I feel comfortable with you indoors (my safe space!), my happy, fun, and snuggly side comes out. Im a great companion to watch tv with and Ill even occasionally nudge your hand to remind you that its time for more pets. At around 30 pounds, Im the perfect size to join you on the couch without taking up too much room.

Did I also mention that Im a smart guy? Im crate trained, potty-trained, and know basic words like sit, down, come, wait, and am working on paw. The cats in my foster home are really interesting, and my foster parents say Im doing great at learning how to interact with them.

If youre interested in becoming my forever person/family, please read more about the adoption process and consider applying for me! https://www.secondchanceranchrescue.com/adopt
