OTTO's Story

Meet OTTO!

He is approximately 7 months old as of 7/26/26. We think he is a German Shepherd or perhaps Black Mouth Cur/Lab mix simply based on looks although he's definitely a mix of many breeds! Full grown, we think he'll be about 40 lbs.

Otto's foster absolutely LOVES him! She says that he is tender, affectionate and effusively happy go lucky! She says he is incredibly smart, and aims to please. He listens well and is highly trainable. He is a zealous eater which definitely helps with his training as he is food motivated!

She says that before feeding she likes to give him a little cuddle and kiss which he seems to come to expect; he seems to favor love and affection above everything! He is not at all food aggressive and can easily have his bowl taken away mid-meal without issue.

He is used to being handled. His Foster has spent time, touching his paws and grooming him, and he has absolutely no issues with it! He is easy going.

He understands the commands, such as come or eat!

He loves to play and as often the first dog in the house to initiate playtime with the other puppies!

When his foster comes home, of all the dogs she has in her home, he is the first to greet her! He a total lap dog despite his size (see photo!), he is loving, cuddly and calm for his age.

He is good with other dogs. He has several foster siblings and is great with them all!

He is good with cats as well. He lives with a few cats who he is curious about but he takes cues well when they swat at him and have had enough playtime.

We have no doubt he would do well with children given his sweet personality! Now is the perfect time for introductions!

Otto is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and will fly to his forever home only once adopted!! We can send him to many states/airports along the East Coast, starting in Miami up the coast to Virginia (our cargo route is up 95).

Please feel free to email us with IN any questions about her! The best fit for the dog is our priority.

Please make sure you are ready to properly exercise and give a dog all it needs for fulfillment. Your ongoing time and day-to-day commitment are the most important things in caring for a dog.

In addition, we cannot guarantee breed of any dog, exact age or expected adult size of a puppy. Please note that even house-trained dogs will need help transitioning to an adopter's home and schedule. Thank you for understanding.
