Otto's Story
Otto is a lovely purebred, nine year old, neutered, brindle male ( DOB: 07/09/2016) Bouvier des Flandres. Otto is heartworm negative, up to date on vaccinations and vet care and recently received a dental and an ophthalmology examination. Otto is currently in a foster home near Asheville, North Carolina and is living with three other canines.

The description of Otto by his caring fosters is that he is the quintessential perfect Bouvier gentleman. Otto loves to travel places and see stuff! He loves car rides, walk adventures, is well behaved at the groomers and veterinarian offices, is easy to handle and be with. In fact, Otto LOVES most to be with you once Otto as adopted you as his person.

Through no fault of his own, Otto has lived in 3 homes; in a kennel for the first part of his life, with his first special owner who died, and Otto's third owners, who loved Otto dearly, but were in a car accident resulting in a disability necessitating a wheelchair and repeated surgeries. All this made it impossible to care for Otto or even go on the smallest of walks. So,reluctantly Otto was surrendered to ABRL where he could receive attention and care because he was becoming obviously depressed.

Otto is good in his foster home, but it is clear Otto very much longs and wishes for his very own person. Being the ONLY dog living in the house with a person , or persons, retired or working from home. A fenced yard and garden where he can supervise his person while working outdoors would be optimal. Otto does not enjoy or require being crated, finds commotion overrated, and is a good boy in all things. We would like to find him the home and circumstances where he could thrive and shine, once again as the apple of someone's eye! Please fill out an adoption application at www.abrl.org.
