Otter's Story

Otter is a 2-year-old, 11 lb Xoloitzcuintli mix with a sweet, loving personality. She is happiest when she’s right by your side and truly enjoys being close to her people. Otter is both toy- and food-motivated and loves carrying her toys around, proudly squeaking them as she goes.

She enjoys running and playing with other dogs and can happily have dog friends for playtime. However, Otter does not do well sharing resources like toys, so to truly thrive, she needs a home as an only dog. Playdates and supervised romps with other dogs are still a great fit for her!

Otter is currently not comfortable walking on leash. We are actively working with her on this, but at this time she requires a securely fenced yard so she can safely exercise and explore.

Otter would do best in a home that can provide consistency, patience, and lots of love—along with toys she can call her own. She is working diligently on house-training and crate-training.

To adopt her, please apply on www.orphanannierescue.org
Her adoption fee is $400, which includes her shots up-to-date, microchipping, spay, heartworm testing, dental cleaning, and deworming.
