Otter's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGOtter's happy wiggle is so beagle-ish and his little tail is wagging all the time. When he arrived at his Florida foster home he immediately walked into the house and hopped up on the couch with the other dogs like he had been there all along. He is very comfortable with the other dogs -- submissive but not shy. He will curl up for a nap with them but is also content to explore the yard on his own. Otter has really taken to the 4 year old child in the home. He is very tolerant of everything from running around after a ball to being dressed up. We have also seen Otter interact with a cat and he was curious but very gentle and respectful. Otter's house training is going super well with no accidents, but he goes out at regular intervals of a few hours. At night he sleeps in his crate without whining, and he appears to be pretty relaxed being crated when the family leaves home (up to 4 hours), but there are other dogs in the house there with him. Otter is VERY affectionate and definitely likes a good cuddle. If the other dogs are getting attention he does like to join in, but is not pushy. On leash he is pretty good, but typical beagle, led by the nose! He is an all around lovely little guy and heartworm negative so ready for a sleepover with you!
