Hello, nice to meet you. I’m OTIS.<br/>And yes… I do have a story. 📖🐾<br/><br/>I started out at the pound, waiting patiently like so many good dogs do, hoping someone would choose me. One day, they did. I was over the moon, tail wagging, heart wide open. Freedom at last.<br/><br/>But my happy ending didn’t come then.<br/><br/>The person who adopted me didn’t actually have a home. So instead of a couch and a food bowl, I went from the pound… to the streets. For 10 long months, I survived on my own. No one really knows how I managed, but I did.<br/><br/>When this rescue realized what had happened, they were heartbroken. They were trying to line up a foster for me, but this person got to me first. Fast forward months later, when a volunteer spotted me on another shelter’s Facebook page. One message. One alert. And suddenly everything changed. The director jumped into action, and just like that, I was finally safe.<br/><br/>And here I am. ❤️<br/><br/>Despite everything, I’m still the same big, goofy, gentle soul. A little scuffed up on the outside maybe, but my heart never hardened. I still love people. I still trust.
