Otis's Story

Hi, I'm Otis! I'm a 5 year old, 109 lb. Saint Bernard, and while I may take up a whole lot of physical space, I promise my favorite place to be is right next to the people I love!
I'm a very sweet boy who absolutely loves affection. If you're looking for a gentle giant who will happily soak up all the love you have to give, I'm ready for the job. My dream home is a cozy one where I can relax with my people, enjoy some quiet time, and know that I'm safe and loved.

I do have one important thing to tell you about myself. I'm happiest as the only pet in the home. I have a history of resource guarding my food from other dogs, and this has unfortunately led to altercations. Because of this, I need a home without dogs or cats where I don't have to worry about sharing my space or my meals.

Honestly, I think being your one and only sounds pretty wonderful anyway! More couch space. More attention. More opportunities for me to remind you that I am, in fact, a very handsome boy.

I'd do best with kids 8 and older who understand that even though I love people, sometimes I need a little space for myself. I promise that when I'm ready for affection, you'll know because I'll be right there hoping for some extra love.

I'm a big dog with an even bigger heart, and what I really want is pretty simple: a family of my own, a cozy home, and someone who will love me as much as I'll love them.
If you have room in your heart for one very special gentle giant, I think we might just be a perfect match!

My adoption fee is $295 and I'm neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

Apply to meet me today!

The Asher House's Adoption Policy
The Asher House currently focuses on adoptions within Oregon, Washington, and Idaho so that we can provide post-adoption support to our adopters and animals. If you live in one of these three states and see a dog you’re interested in, please complete our adoption application. As part of our adoption process, we ask for two references and conduct a video home check. If we believe one of our animals could be a good match for you, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet for everyone in your household, including your current dog(s). This gives everyone an opportunity to meet and helps us determine together whether the adoption is the right fit. Our goal is always to create safe, loving, and successful lifelong matches for our animals and their adopters. All of our adoptable animals are on our website www.theasherhouse.com.
