Otis's Story
Meet Otis 🚀🐾
e.5 years old | 50 lbs of pure SEND IT energy

Otis is not a “casual stroll around the block” kind of dog.
Otis is a “we’re training for a 10K, right?” kind of dog.

This boisterous, big-hearted boy loves everyone and lives life at full volume. He’s sweet, affectionate, and will absolutely lick kids to pieces — but he is strong, enthusiastic, and still very much a young athlete in a 50-pound body. Tiny toddlers might get accidentally bowled over in the excitement.

Otis learns FAST.

He potty trained quickly and literally taught himself to use the dog door in one day just by observing the other dogs. He’s currently working on basic commands and thrives when he has structure and purpose.

And here’s the big thing:
Otis needs a job.
Running buddy? Yes.
Hiking partner? Absolutely.
Agility? Let’s go.
Dock diving? He would eat that up.

If you’re active, outdoorsy, competitive, or just someone who believes a tired dog is a happy dog — Otis is your guy.

He plays well with other dogs, but he is enthusiastic and strong. A shy or older dog would not appreciate his “LET’S GOOOO” vibe. He’d do best with a confident, playful canine companion who can match his energy.

Squirrels? His sworn enemies.
He will attempt to climb trees to enforce justice.
Cats are probably not his demographic.

The good stuff:
• Walks beautifully on leash
• Great on car rides
• Loves buffalo horns & durable toys
• Smart, observant, eager
• Needs a fenced yard

Otis has been bounced around a bit and just hasn’t found his perfect match yet — not because he isn’t amazing, but because he needs the right lifestyle. He’s not for everyone.

But for the right family?
He’s going to be an absolute legend.
If your idea of bonding is breaking a sweat together and building a life full of adventure — Otis is ready to clock in. 💥

Apply on our website - ntxaussierescue.org/adopt
