Meet Otis, an 8-year-old senior basset who was surrendered to Suncoast Basset Rescue when his family faced illness and could no longer be home as much. Wanting the very best for him, they made the loving decision to place him in our care.<br/>Otis is truly the perfect gentleman. He has a wonderfully sweet personality and gets along beautifully with other dogs. In fact, he needs another dog in his forever home—he really enjoys the company of other pups, including younger dogs and even puppies. His foster dad has discovered that Otis is quite capable of a little counter surfing from time to time. One thing we’ve also learned: Otis will need a secure, fenced-in yard. He has a curious streak and loves to “expand his horizons,” occasionally exploring beyond where he should. We think it’s mostly for the fun of it, but safety is key for this sweet explorer. Otherwise, Otis is incredibly loving, easygoing, and just an all-around wonderful basset. We honestly can’t believe he hasn’t found his forever home yet. Whoever adopts him will be getting a truly amazing companion.
