Otis's Story

Meet Otis — a happy, playful 5-month-old pup who is ready to find the family he deserves.

Otis is about 40 pounds, and his veterinarians believe he is a Lab/Hound mix. He's growing quickly and developing all the coordination, curiosity, and energy you would expect from a healthy young dog. He loves to play, enjoys being around people, and gets along wonderfully with other dogs. He's also very curious about cats, but so far has shown no aggression toward them — mostly just a puppy trying to figure out what those strange little creatures are!

Otis is an incredibly sweet boy. He loves attention, loves exploring, and seems genuinely happy just being part of whatever is going on around him. And yes, Otis loves to eat. In fact, he was eating when we first met him — unfortunately, it was discarded food and trash along the side of the road where someone had left him. These days, Otis has upgraded considerably. He now happily devours a good bowl of healthy dog food and is learning what life is supposed to be like for a puppy: regular meals, a safe place to sleep, people who care about him, and plenty of playtime.

If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate, energetic young dog who will grow up alongside you and become part of the family, Otis may be your guy. He's had a rough start, but you certainly would'nt know it from his personality. He approaches life with a wagging tail, a curious nose, and an enthusiasm that is pretty hard not to love.

Adoption fee: $500 (includes vaccines to date, microchip, and neuter)
Apply at www.lakesideanimalrescue.com
