Oso's Story

Meet Oso — 66 Pounds of Squishy Love and Goofy Charm!

Age: 4 years old

Weight: 66 lbs

Oso is a four-year-old English Bulldog with a heart as big as his jowls. Sweet, silly, and full of personality, Oso is the kind of dog who melts into your arms one minute and launches into full-speed zoomies the next. He’s surprisingly fast and agile for a bulldog and loves to romp around with his foster brothers before crashing into full cuddle mode.

He’s crate-trained, sleeps soundly through the night, and is completely housebroken — though he’s a bit of a gentleman about it: he quietly goes to the door when he needs to go out, so you’ll need to keep an eye on him instead of waiting for a bark.

Oso lives for affection and will happily follow you from room to room just to be near you. He’s playful, cuddly, and wonderfully goofy — truly a joy to have around. That said, he’s also strong, and still learning his leash manners, so he’ll need a handler who can continue working with him on walks.

He also snores — loudly. Like chainsaw-on-a-pillow loud. If you’re a light sleeper, bring earplugs. If you think snoring is endearing and hilarious, Oso’s your guy.

Oso has severe skin allergies and requires a special diet and consistent care to stay comfortable. As a brachycephalic (short-nosed) pup, he’s not heat-tolerant and cannot go for walks in warm weather — he must be kept cool and indoors on hot days.

Because of his size and enthusiasm, Oso would do best in a home without young children — he’s a lovable bulldozer and might accidentally knock little ones over.

His ideal forever home will be one that understands bulldog care and is committed to his ongoing needs. In return, Oso will give you unconditional love, belly laughs, and the best snuggles you’ve ever had.

If you’re looking for a lovable clown with endless energy, a massive heart, and the snore of a freight train, Oso is ready to waddle into your life.

Adoption $600

All UnderDogs are spayed/neutered, heartworm checked, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and heartworm/flea/tick preventatives. For consideration for one or more dogs, we require that an on-line application is filled out.

TO ADOPT THIS DOG PLEASE FILL OUT AN APPLICATION AT https://underdogrescueofflorida.com/.

Sorry, we do not adopt outside of Florida. Applicants are subject to a home visit, and veterinary references will be checked. Please include a vet reference (including phone number) when applying online.

Our application process:
FIRST, an application must be approved for adoption from our rescue.
SECOND, we determine whether the dog that has been applied for is a "good match" for the household that wants to adopt him/her. We take into consideration the dog's activity level, compatibility with other members of the household (human and other pets), etc.
If your application has been approved, but the dog you applied for is no longer available, please take the time and look over our adoptable dogs again. We will make every effort to find the right dog for an approved applicant.

We hope you agree and understand that our goal to find the best forever home is our #1 priority!
