Oso's Story

Oso is a friendly 2 year old boy who was surrendered to the shelter because his family had to keep him outside and didn't have time to play with him. Those days are over for Oso. We are looking for a home who will teach him how to be a member of the family in the home. Oso enjoys car rides and knows several commands (sit, stay, come, no, fetch, treat). He is a pretty happy go lucky boy who really loves everyone. His former family said he is great with men, women, children, and other dogs, but he chases and tries to catch cats. The Humane Society of Clinton County, Indiana's Adoption Policy
We require a "foster to adopt" program for all adopters, whether it be that the pet that you are interested in still has some medical work up to be done or whether we just want to give the pet time to adjust. An application is required to be filled out at the time of adoption. No appointment required to visit the animals during open hours. Upon finalizing adoption, each pet is current on vaccinations, altered, microchipped, FeLV/FIV test and/or heartworm tested. All animals over 7 years of age will have bloodwork performed at the vet. All known medical issues will be taken care of at the vet prior to finalizing adoption (dental cleanings, hernia repairs, mass removals, etc.).
