Oscar's Story

Oscar is a strawberry blonde dachshund who is good with other dogs, dog-savvy cats, and kids. he is 6 years old and has environmental allergies that require regular cystopoint injections. His eyes water, but we will flush his ducts at the time of his dental.

He arrived with brother Cooper, but they have very different lifestyle needs, so we will accept applications together or separately, with the former owner's blessing. This boy would love someone who isn't gone from home very much, or a family with a staggered schedule. He primarily follows foster mom around the house, but will also bond with others when she is not home. He's a total lap dog and so sweet. He is even good with his foster's granddaughter (she is very dog savvy).

Oscar's lab work looks great, and he is heartworm negative. Oscar is potty trained, which is rare for a dachshund coming through rescue! He is the nicest boy, but will likely make a woman his "person"

Adoption criteria:

Owners not gone long hours (he will howl)
Home setting with a securely fenced backyard
Kids 10+ who are gentle

https://www.portlanddachshundrescue.org/adoptionform
