Oscar's Story
Meet Oscar!
This little guy came into the shelter in August as a stray. He had been roaming around Haywood County in a small pack of dogs for a few months. The ACO's were finally able to get him captured by winning over his trust with lots of treats! Now, after spending two months in the shelter, this sweet guy is ready for adoption! ?
As previously stated, Oscar was a stray for quite some time. He battled his own cowardice in the shelter for months before realizing that some humans are not the bad guys. Now, he is the sweetest little guy here and has become a bit of a mascot for the shelter. Oscar enjoys roaming the inside of the shelter while the kennels are cleaned out every morning. He loves to smell the other dog's kennels and make new friends wherever he can. His favorite space is the old office as it's quiet! Oscar is great with other dogs, and kitties and may do well in a family setting with older kids to play with. ?
Oscar is three years old and about 30 pounds. We believe he may be a border collie or Schipperke mix with something much smaller due to his size. He has been given his first round of vaccinations, dewormed, and treated for external parasites in the shelter.
Oscar is located at the Brownsville Haywood County Animal Shelter in Brownsville, Tennessee. His adoption fee is $120. We have no pull fee for reputable 501c3 rescue groups and can help arrange transport. Please share Oscar to help him find his forever home!
