Oscar's Story

OSCAR NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME! HE HAS BEEN WAITING FOR 7 YEARS! Oscar is an approximately 7.5-year-old pit bull mix who weighs around 70 lbs. Oscar was found abandoned in the country during the winter. He was found out in the cold, emaciated, lugging a huge chain around his neck. He is now healthy and ready for his forever home. Oscar loves to play with toys, and he loves people! He loves going on walks and getting to say hi to everyone he passes. Oscar is also big into cuddling! He’d do well with older kids but not as well with small children since he's large and we wouldn't want him to knock them down accidentally. Oscar would like a home where he has an active family to occupy him and a backyard with a stockade fence. He is such a sweet boy who just needs someone to give him a chance at a life with love and a family. He would do best as the only dog in the home. Oscar needs a home with an individual or family who has had experience with large, strong dogs. Oscar LOVES to go on car rides and rides well in a car! And especially if you are taking him for a Puppuccino! He is all about that! Oscar is leash and crate trained. He has probably never lived in a home before so most likely he will need assistance with house training although he does keep his kennel clean. Oscar is neutered, microchipped, and up to date on his shots. His adoption fee is $225. Forever Yours Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy

Every dog that is rescued by Forever Yours is checked by a veterinarian, vaccinated, spay/neutered, dewormed, heartworm/ehrlichia tested and treated if needed, and microchipped. We also treat any other illnesses or issues that the dog may have on intake. We require an adoption application (FYDRadopt.com), but we do not require that you give us your first born or the deed to your house to adopt from us. Our adoption fee is $225.00. If available, you will get an opportunity to talk to your chosen pet's foster family when you meet your potential new family member. This will enable you to ask any questions and learn all about your pet. Forever Yours Dog Rescue does not have a facility, all of our wonderful rescues are in foster homes with families that take care of them and love them until their forever homes come along. We are currently not holding adoption events and doing all adoptions through an online application and then setting up individual meetings for potential adopters. Therefore to meet a dog, we ask that you fill out an application so we can see if a good fit first. The application is in no way an obligation for you to adopt.
