Oscar's Story

🐫Happy Hump Day from the legend himself, Oscar Wilde Weenie!! 🐫

We’re hopeful that after Monday (when a certain someone’s neuter ✂️ is scheduled 👀), future hump days will look a bit different- but really, even despite his occasional marking and his very short-lived/easily redirected randiness -this little guy couldn’t get any sweeter. He’s been a veritable saint (see second pic for photographic evidence) 👼.

Having spent a week at the shelter as the only dog surrounded by 30+ cats, Oscar, wanted nothing more than to befriend them all, but much to his dismay, many were not interested in inter-species interloping 💔💔. However, for those cats willing to take a chance, Oscar remained ever the gentleman, even striking up the most magical friendship with our deaf baby, Bisquick, (as her sister, Bottlebrush, kept a watchful eye).

Along with his desire for companionship, Oscar is a lover of snuggles and burrowing- and this weather has provided the optimal opportunity for both- though we know he would much prefer to be doing them in a furever home of his own. Oscar craves attention, and would love to be given the chance to be someone’s constant companion 💖 and the center of their world 🌎 (I mean when you look like that, how could you not be?!).

Oscar is an 11 lb Dachshund mix 🌭, estimated to be 8-9 years old. He is fully vaccinated, Heartworm tested, just had some senior bloodwork done that came
back a-ok 👌, and will, as we mentioned, be neutered on the 26th! After this, he will be available for adoption!

Oscar has done so well with all the cats here and dogs his size or smaller (he might get along with larger dogs, we just aren’t sure!) He gets along with adult humans, and likely would do well with kids (again, we just don’t know!).

Reach out to schedule a chance to come meet this snuggliest long-snoot 🧣we can’t get enough of.
