Oscar

Oscar is a 4-year-old, sweet Rottie mix, and he has a little dash of chihuahua in him, 2% to be exact!<br/><br/>A LITTLE BIT ABOUT OSCAR… He LOVES humans! Being in a kennel is not ideal for a dog who loves humans as there are only 4 times a day he sees people, but he wags enthusiastically when volunteers arrive, and he often convinces them to hang out on the futon with him.<br/><br/>Oscar loves to carry his stuffies with him, he will even occasionally carry one on his walks! Oscar did have a good life at one time, but circumstances changed, and he was brought to the kennel and turned in as a stray and now we are looking for a furever home for this big lug!<br/><br/>Oscar is crate trained; he is not destructive when left out. He walks well on a leash. He has lived with a doodle in the past. We would assist with meet and greets to determine if he would be good with any resident dog(s) of applicants.<br/><br/>Oscar would be content to lay on a couch and wait for his human to come home and he would be very happy to cuddle with that human in the evening.<br/><br/>CHALLENGES: Oscar is reported to not be good with cats and small dogs (a small dog beat him up when he was a puppy) and he can sometimes be a little finicky about food. His puppy dog face has helped him convince several volunteers to cater to him by holding his food dish as he finishes his meal.<br/><br/>VETTING: Oscar is UTD on vaccines & is neutered.
