Oscar's Story
Oscar: From Sad Shelter Face to Perpetual Motion Machine 💙

Oscar came to us from the Joplin Humane Society, where — like so many small dogs in big shelters — he was being overlooked. At just 5 years old and 15 lbs., he still found himself waiting in a wire crate while others were chosen.

The first photo we saw of him showed a little guy with a sad, resigned expression. But let us tell you… that face is not the Oscar we know today!

Since arriving at Imagine FURever Ranch, Oscar has revealed his true personality — and WOW! This boy is a perpetual motion machine. He zips from room to room like he’s making up for lost time, soaking up space, freedom, and attention. We truly believe he’s just happy to be out of that shelter crate and living life.

Oscar is:

- Obsessed with stuffed toys and balls
- A vocal little guy (he has opinions and he’s not afraid to share them!)
- A champion lap-sitter once playtime winds down
- Deeply distressed when a toy rolls under the couch (the tragedy!)

He loves toys - if a ball disappears under furniture, you will absolutely hear about it. But once the crisis is resolved, he’s ready to curl up in your lap for a well-earned rest.

Oscar would thrive in a home that appreciates:

-A playful, energetic little companion
-A dog who communicates (adorably)
-Lap time after zoom time
-Keeping toys within reach at all times

He may have been overlooked before, but we see him now — and he is pure joy in a small, blue-eyed package.

If you’re ready for a little entertainer, lap companion, and toy enthusiast all in one… Oscar is waiting.

Adopt Oscar: https://bit.ly/AdoptIFR
Foster Oscar: https://bit.ly/FosterIFR

We love you, Oscar!
