Oscar's Story
Meet Oscar: The Tri-PAW’d <br/>Standard Poodle • 2 years old • 44 lbs<br/><br/>Legs: 3.<br/>Determination: 10/10.<br/>Poodle personality: Fully intact. <br/><br/>Oscar came to FLOP after his elderly owner passed away and there was no family able to take him and several other dogs in the home.<br/><br/>Sadly, once Oscar arrived, we discovered he had been living with a badly broken leg for a year or more. The injury was far too old to repair, and amputation was the only option to finally make him comfortable. (Donations made this possible for him!) <br/><br/>And Oscar? He has been an absolute WARRIOR. He sailed through surgery and recovery and continues to amaze us with how beautifully he has adapted to life on three legs. He’s still a little lean and working on putting on some healthy weight—but he is thriving!<br/><br/>Oscar loves other dogs, so his forever home will need another friendly canine companion.
