Meet Oscar! <br/><br/>Oscar had a rough start to life after living in a puppy mill in the south. He arrived to Wisconsin and has changed and blossomed since his arrival. He is listed as a 8 year old Yorkshire Terrier weighing about 11 pounds. <br/>He does not like his crate but does fine roaming the house but does need a belly band. He gets along with other dogs. He is still sometimes leery of human touch and not super snuggly. He loves to lounge around the house and cruise around the backyard. <br/><br/>He would do best in a home with no children as fast movements and noises startle him. He has not been around cats. Oscar requires a home with a fenced yard as he is unsure of a leash and a dog companion to teach him people are ok. Oscar is independent and needs a patient home willing to let him adjust on his terms. <br/><br/>Oscar is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/ticket and heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $250. MPM Rescue reviews application and checks vet records and references;<br/>4. MPM foster contacts approved applicant(s) to arrange a home check and meeting with available dog(s);<br/>5. If there is a good fit, adoption is completed with a contract and fees (payable via check or cash).<br/><br/>The adoption fee is listed here: http://mapawsmepetrescue.com/adopt/<br/><br/>Dogs from Ma, Paws & Me Pet Rescue come with the following medical care already provided:<br/>- Spay/Neuter surgery<br/>- Age appropriate vaccinations<br/>- Heartworm test (for dogs over 6mo) and treatment if positive<br/>- Microchip<br/>- Deworming<br/>- Heartworm and Flea/Tick Preventative<br/>- Any other necessary medical treatment as recommended by veterinarian<br/><br/>*Please note that the identified breed(s) are best guesses. We very rarely have information on our dogs' actual breeds since they often come to the shelters we work with as strays.*
