Oscar's Story

Meet Oscar!

Look at this handsome boy! Meet Oscar!

Oscar is an 8-year-old Yorkshire Terrier weighing about 11 pounds. After spending the first part of his life in a puppy mill, he's learning what it means to be a beloved family member and is making progress every day.

Oscar is a laid-back little guy who enjoys lounging around the house and exploring the backyard. While he isn't a fan of being crated, he does well when allowed to roam the home and currently wears a belly band. He gets along well with other dogs and would love to have a confident canine companion to help show him that people can be trusted.

Because of his difficult past, Oscar can still be unsure about human touch and isn't much of a cuddle. He prefers to build trust at his own pace and will thrive with a patient adopter who understands that love and security take time. Sudden movements and loud noises can startle him, so he would do best in a quiet home without children.

Oscar has not been tested with cats. He will need a securely fenced yard, as he is not yet comfortable walking on a leash.
If you're looking for a sweet, independent companion and have the patience to help a deserving dog continue his journey, Oscar may be the perfect match for you.

Oscar is available for adoption through Ma Paws & Me Pet Rescue based out of Watertown, WI. He is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, and current on flea/ticket and heartworm prevention.

Adoption fee is $250.
