Oscar's Story

Oscar is a 6-year-old Cocker Spaniel with a heart full of love and a story that deserves a happy new chapter. Surrendered to a rural Oklahoma shelter Oscar is now looking for the second chance he truly deserves.

This sweet boy is incredibly dog-friendly and enjoys the company of other dogs, though he would prefer a home without puppies—he finds their energy a bit overwhelming. Oscar is a gentle, snuggly companion who bonds quickly with his people; in fact, he became attached to his foster mom in just two days!

Oscar has a charming daily routine. After his morning potty break and breakfast, he loves to have his own play session—he’s a big fan of toys and chewing on bones. Once he’s had his fun, he’s perfectly content relaxing on the couch, watching the world go by from the window. He’s great at entertaining himself and settles in beautifully.

He is fully housebroken and crate trained, and he’s an absolute gem in his crate—quiet, calm, and content whether you’re home or away. At night, Oscar is happy to sleep in his crate or snuggle up with you if you’ll let him.

Oscar also rides well in the car and enjoys spending time outdoors, making him a wonderful companion for both relaxing days at home and little adventures.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion, Oscar might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to leave his past behind and start a life full of love—could that be with you?

💛 Adopt Oscar and give him the fresh start he’s been waiting for.

If you are interested in this dog The first step is to go to our website and fill out an application. https://placingpawsrescue.org/applications/dog-application/

ADOPTION FEE: $400.00 The adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations including rabies, HW test if age appropriate, de-worming, microchip, fecal, spay or neuter, Heartworm and flea and tick preventative. ADOPTION PROCESS: PLEASE READ CAREFULLY The first step in the adoption process is to fill out an application online at www.placingpawsrescue.org. Once we review the applications, those applicants that are thought to be a good match will be contacted as quickly as possible. We ask that you please be patient with us as we are all volunteers. Then a telephone interview will take place, references checked and a home visit will be conducted. We will then arrange for you to meet the dog. We require that all family members, including current dogs meet the dog prior to adoption. We put all of the known information in the animals description. If the animal is listed on the website, we are still accepting applications for that animal. We only remove the animal when the final adoption paperwork is signed. The best way to contact us is by email at placingpaws@yahoo.com. It is very difficult for the limited numbers of volunteers to return all calls. Thank you.
