Orion's Story
Meet Orion: The Big-Headed Lovebug Who Never Lost Faith
Some dogs steal your heart the moment you meet them. Orion is one of those dogs.
This handsome, block-headed goofball spent more than 100 days at the City of Buffalo Animal Shelter, waiting for someone to notice what makes him so special. Why he was overlooked for so long is something we'll never understand.
Orion is a big, strong boy and will do best with an adopter who can confidently handle him on leash. He can be reactive to other dogs and animals while out on walks, so he'll need someone committed to helping him succeed and keeping him comfortable in those situations.
But once you're home? That's where Orion truly shines.
This sweet boy's favorite place is right next to his person. He'll happily follow you from room to room, supervise your daily activities, and remind you that belly rubs are not optional. Beneath his tough-guy appearance is a sensitive, affectionate dog whose greatest joy is simply being loved.
Orion carries a few scars from his past, a reminder that life hasn't always been kind to him. Yet through it all, he never gave up on people. He still greets the world with a wagging tail, a hopeful heart, and an endless supply of love to give.
We aren't exactly sure if Orion is a Pit Bull, AmStaff, American Bully mix, or a combination of all three, but what we do know is that he's 100% devoted companion material. He's also housebroken and ready to settle into a home of his own.
If you're looking for a loyal sidekick, a world-class snuggler, and a dog who will love you with his whole heart, come meet Orion.
One belly rub is all it takes to fall in love.
