Orion's Story

(DOB 04/17/2025) Looking for a cool roomate, an awesome partner, a great companion...well, say "HELLO" to Orion. Orion is a smart cookie who already has the important stuff mastered. He's fully potty trained and will politely ring a bell when he needs to go outside; how cool is that? He's also crate trained and happily heads to his crate when you say “Bedtime!” Like any good housemate, he keeps things simple and easy.

Are you a sun and water person? Awesome, so is Orion!! If you say, "Water!"; he'll say, "Yes, please"! Orion loves splashing around and will happily play in a kiddie pool when the weather is warm. After a good round of play, this sweet boy is more than happy to wind down in a sunny spot on the deck or the kids trampoline.

Orion would love a fenced yard though it isn't an absolute deal breaker if his new family ensures other outdoor time like long daily walks to keep life fun and adventurous. By the way, if he's left unsupervised for too long, he might occasionally try his paw at landscape design, and you may find him digging away to improve his craft! Creative - yes indeed!

When it's playtime, Orion is all in! He loves playing tug-of-war with his favorite stuffed toys, and showing off his impressive talent for de-stuffing stuffies in record time. Don't be surprised if you find him snoozing later with one still gently held in his mouth—it's kind of his thing. He's also a big fan of chew bones and absolutely goes wild for ice cubes ... just open the freezer and watch him come running!

Play time is over, no problem; Orion is also an excellent snuggler! He is often resting his head on the legs or shoulder of his favorite human while everyone relaxes at the end of the day. His puppy energy has nicely balanced out with a great combo of play and chill time. He is at a perfect age and will be a fantastic addition to a loving home!

Orion is great with kids and enjoys other dogs, but cats aren't really his style. He's also a bit of a talker and would love a person or family who enjoys having little “conversations” with their dog. With his playful spirit, loving snuggles, and charming personality, Orion is truly a one-of-a-kind companion who's ready to bring laughter, love, and a little cosmic fun into your home.

As part of Orion's $325 adoption fee, he will be neutered, microchipped, up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, and current on his monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. If you have questions about this sweet little boy, you can email Dogteam@pawsforlifenc.org. If you wish to adopt Orion, you can fill in an online application for him under the Adopt a Pet Tab on our website: www.pawsforlifenc.org.
