Ori's Story

Being from the south can mean you find yourself abandoned as a puppy for no reason of your own! Add to that it's often female pregnant dogs that have their puppies and now the whole family is homeless!

Meet ORI! Lucky for her someone with a huge heart found her and her puppies and reached out to us for rescue placement. Tossed aside- not convenient! When I got her message, video and pictures asking if we could take this momma into rescue I knew she was a dog that deserved to be taken together with her puppies. Once we had them all vetted, the puppies found a home together and we focused on taking care of Ori. She was treated for heart worm, serious dental and basic wellness. She was brought current on all vaccines, spayed and micro chipped. She is READY for a home of her own now...one that won't toss her. aside.

She is estimated to be 3-4 years old and is located in a foster home in NC until her family finds her. A face time zoom and conversation with the foster mom is made available to applicants and Rescue transports sll pups directly to approved adopters anywhere along the east coast from SC to ME

Ori is a little hesitant until she knows she is safe. Is that any wonder? But it does not take her long to pick her person and relax. Typically the best kind of dog is one who has learned to trust.....She loves humans and other dogs! The beagle in her will come out- they are one of the friendliest dog breeds. They are pack dogs because they were bred to hunt in groups, most enjoy the company of other dogs. Food is a huge motivator. She is smart but independent so training works best with patience, consistency and tasty rewards.

She is a great choice if you're looking for a smaller, non puppy new family member!

Our Mission
Our rescue focus is on adult dogs from the southeast that are in high kill shelters. Our plan is to fully vet as needed, evaluate and train as needed in preparation for adoption. We place our rescues in a foster home setting to prepare our dogs for a home of their own and to determine the best match for that rescue.
