Oreo (Part of a bonded pair with Snickers)'s Story

Meet Oreo & Snickers — the sweetest duo around!

This senior mother-daughter pair may be small in size, but they’ve got hearts (and energy!) that are larger than life.

Oreo, estimated to be around 10 years old and weighing about 17 lbs, and her daughter Snickers, about 7 years old and 14 lbs, came to CCHS with our Animal Control Officers after being left alone in a house for months at a time. Despite everything they’ve been through, these girls are the definition of resilient.

Though they missed out on socialization, affection, and basic comforts, Oreo and Snickers are still incredibly sweet and eager to connect. They’re relearning their manners both on and off leash, but they’re always ready for fun! These two love to play, go for walks, and explore the fenced yard — and while they’ll happily settle in for some cuddle time, they still have that puppy spark and love every chance for adventure.

Oreo and Snickers are a bonded pair who have never been apart. They find comfort in each other’s presence and will need to stay together in their new home. Their past is a mystery, so we recommend meet-and-greets with any other dogs or children in the household to make sure it’s the perfect fit.

After the rough few years they’ve endured, we’re so excited to see these two girls finally get the happy, love-filled life they deserve.
