Oreo's Story

Oreo is a 2 year old Husky/Blue Heeler mix who is about 55 lbs. He is a nice size medium dog with a lot of love to give. He is located in CT but was originally from Texas. He is good with other dogs and likes going to the dog park. Oreo loves to play with toys and is a big fan of biscuit treats.

At first, Oreo is a little cautious with new people but slow movements an soft voices will get him to trust you. Once he knows you he will be your loyal companion. His first owner had him since he was a puppy. The lady who had him fell on hard times after the death of her husband and loss of her. She left them and moved away. Oreo was left to fend for himself but lucky was found by a good Samaritan and fund his way into rescue.

He is good with kids and would make an excellent new family member. We do not know how he is with cats. Not available for Massachusetts adoptions.

If you would like more information on Oreo, please complete the adoption application:
http://www.doubledogrescuevolunteers.org/adoption_application.php?dog=Oreo

Our Mission
Double Dog Rescue's mission is to help alleviate the massive problem of pet over population. Our volunteers are inundated with outstanding dogs and adorable puppies that otherwise would be euthanized in local shelters. It is a deeply saddening fact that dogs and puppies are euthanized in a matter of days for no other reason...
