Opie

Opie is no fan of the boring play pen where he has been residing since arriving at the shelter. He wants to be busy -- with people and other dogs. He is sharing his current space with his companion Wilma, but he really wants to hit the road with a new family. <br/><br/>Opie and his 3 other companions lost their owner who passed away and subsequently lost the only home they ever knew. <br/><br/>Opie is just 26 lbs. and loves attention, outdoor walking, sniffing out the world and the company of other dogs. He is very friendly and easy to walk and will keep a senior person active and engaged.<br/><br/>Just like the others from his home, he has the typical lumps and bumps, semi-foggy eyes and not the best breath that comes with age, yet he still has many years to provide sweet companionship to a new family. <br/><br/>Senior dogs make great pets for senior people. They are able to be left alone longer, do not require a ton of physical activity and usually are already housebroken. Please come and meet this sweet senior.<br/><br/>You can visit the dogs from noon - 3 pm Saturdays and Sundays, otherwise by appointment.
