Opal's Story

Opal is a girl who knows what she likes-and she's not shy about it. This lovely "diva" has made it clear that the busy kennel scene just isn't her style, and once she was given her own quiet space with cozy beds and engaging toys, she truly relaxed and started to shine. With a calmer environment, her sweet, affectionate personality comes through beautifully.

She recently enjoyed a Doggy Day Out with a volunteer, and it couldn't have gone better. Opal walked wonderfully on leash, happily exploring the trail and taking in all the scents along the way. She greeted new people with enthusiasm, rode calmly in the car, and showed just how adaptable and easygoing she can be when she's comfortable.

Her former family shared that Opal has always been very friendly with people and loves to cuddle. She's also house trained and impressively smart, already knowing commands like sit, down, shake, come, and stay. She enjoys learning and connecting, and she clearly values her time with her humans.

Opal would thrive in a home that appreciates her desire for a little peace and quiet along with plenty of companionship. Give her a soft place to land and people to love, and she'll reward you with loyalty, affection, and just the right touch of diva charm.

If you are interested in learning more about Opal, please call 812-988-7362 or submit an adoption application at the link below.
