Opal's Story

Please submit an application via this link. A petfinder inquiry is NOT an application, just a submission showing interest.

Adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BSD/Dog

Opal

Opal and her siblings arrived at Brunos at just three days old. With an estimated birthdate of April 16, 2026 Opal is a bottle fed baby who loves to snuggle. She is definitely the most confident of the group. Shes not a nippy puppy. She loves to run and play, but when its time to lay down, shes the first one to do. Meal time is her favorite, she is very food motivated, and will likely be easy to train because of that focus.

She is a sweet girl with a beautiful coat which should be medium length. The only little cow in the group she has just a splattering of brown that makes her incredibly unique. Her green eyes and floppy ears will stare into your soul.

This mixed breed girl will likely be on the larger size and top out around 65-70 pounds.

Opal is easy-going. Give her a good chew toy and shes one happy girl She loves toys and treats and looks forward to every meal. She plays well with the dogs in her foster home and would likely enjoy another dog that likes to play. Opal is one of a kind and will bring a lot of laughs to the right family.

She likes playing in the water so the waiting pool is your favorite place right now. Shes a happy go lucky girl thats looking for someone to take her on adventures some days and others just hang out and binge watch your favorite show.

Here is what her foster has to say:

Opal likes to be outside to play - and will explore every inch of the yard - she is curious so secure fencing is a must. She has been exposed to cats in her foster home and could do well with a slow introduction. She does great in the car (she rides in a wire crate for safety), and would make a great hiking buddy or brewery buddy.

She sleeps quietly in her pen at night has started to potty train to litter box and is doing great! Shes not 100% there yet but with a little time and dedication she will be running to the door in no time.

Adoption fee: $375
This includes spay/neuter, microchip, deworming, age appropriate vaccines, a free exam with our vet, and they're current on heartworm prevention.

We do not hold pets for any reason. Please be ready to adopt at the time of your application. If you have planned trips, apply when you return.

Bruno's Foundation's Adoption Policy
We are a foster based facility, meaning all of our animals are in homes, not a shelter environment. This allows us to get to know them better, and provide on one training for each animal. In order to limit the amount of people going in and out of our foster homes, we do require a filled out application prior to a meet and greet. We are a 501c3 non profit. All adoption donations are tax deductible! Please click the link on this page to fill out an application for adoption. Allow 48 hours for a reply, we only have one person who reviews applications so please be patient. A phone call will be scheduled should your application fit the needs of the pet you’re applying for. During this time, we will set up a meet and greet, then a home check (virtual or in person). We DO allow out of state adoptions however you will be required to travel to pick up, and this will depend on how the pet you’re applying for does with travel. All animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and dewormed prior to adoption.
