Oolong's Story
Meet Oolong!

Who doesn't love a man that isn't afraid to be in touch with their sensitive side?

Oolong is a six year old chihuahua mix weighing just a liiiiiiittle over 15lbs. He came to us as an owner surrender so he's understandably confused and overwhelmed. He's a sweet boy that has been warming up to us as we've been working with him and he's slowly but surely gaining some much-needed confidence.

It helps if you let him carry a plushie around in his mouth. It's his emotional support plushie. He suddenly becomes moderately more outgoing. We don't question it.

Oolong did previously live with other dogs and was okay with them. Here, he's been more wary, especially of bigger, bouncier, goofier dogs. We guess it can be pretty intimidating to see something three or four times your size bouncing at you so we don't blame him for being cautious. Dogs of a similar size/temperament would most likely be fine after a slow introduction. He does NOT like cats. We would prefer kids 12+ just because he's such a nervous guy right now.

We know that there's a silly little guy buried deeeeeep beneath all of that insecurity. He likes his walks (accompanied by his plushie of course) and he likes squeaky toys. He's curious but unsure but as time goes on, he's becoming a brave little toaster. He just needs a place to call his own so he can settle in and let that personality shine.

To apply, visit foreverpaws.com and click adopt to download our application.
