Onyx is a stunning little beauty, full of joy and life! She is playful, happy, and wonderfully curious about the world around her. Onyx loves exploring, meeting new people, and discovering everything life has to offer. She has a bright, joyful personality and a sweet spirit that makes everyone around her smile.<br/><br/>Life didn’t start easily for Onyx and her sister, Ebony. The two girls were abandoned on the street, left behind to fend for themselves. A concerned neighbor noticed them cuddled closely together, waiting in the same spot as if they were hoping their owner would come back for them. Sadly, no one ever did.<br/><br/>They were wet, cold, hungry, and confused when they were found. Thankfully, our partner rescue, SOS el Arca Animal Rescue, stepped in and took the sisters to safety, providing them with shelter, veterinary care, nutritious food, and, most importantly, lots of love.<br/><br/>Since then, Onyx has blossomed into a beautiful, healthy, and happy girl. She is now ready to travel to New York and begin the next chapter of her life with a loving family.<br/><br/>Onyx has a wonderful balance to her personality. She is playful and fun like a puppy should be, but she also knows how to settle down and relax. She is affectionate, gentle, and enjoys being around people. She is especially gentle with children, which could make her a wonderful companion for a family with kids.<br/><br/>She will thrive in a home where she can continue learning, playing, exploring, and growing alongside her people. Onyx is expected to grow into a medium-size dog, making her a great companion for many different types of homes and lifestyles.<br/><br/>She is also crate trained, which helps with potty training and can make her transition into a new home smoother and easier for both Onyx and her future family.<br/><br/>Onyx is spayed, microchipped, fully vaccinated, dewormed, and 4DX tested. She is also on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention (Simparica).<br/><br/>We are currently looking for a committed adopter or foster-to-adopt home so Onyx can travel to New York on the next transport.<br/><br/>After being abandoned and left waiting for someone who never came back, Onyx deserves to know what it feels like to be truly chosen and loved.
