Watching a scared/timid pet come out of their shell and realize they are safe is one of my favorite parts of rescue. Omelette's former human drove to an Uptown intersection, opened the door, unhooked his leash and tossed him out.
He came to us skinny and shut down.
Fast forward a month, and thanks to the hard work of the Zeus’ Rescue Krewe, he has learned to love and trust again.
He is super sweet but vocal, so he growls even when he doesn’t mean it. He’s awkward and twitchy but this gives him his loving character.
Omelette likes small beds that hold him tight and would love someone to cuddle with at night!
He’s not much on treats so don’t worry about him stealing your food or begging.
If you take it slow and don’t jump at his every twitch, he will trust you more and more but if he doesn’t get ready for a game of chase!
Omelette loves all other furry companions but wouldn’t do great in a home with children as they quick movements may scare him.

He is up to date on shots, heart worm negative, microchipped and neutered.

Applications are not animal specific, as the animals in our adoption program change daily. Your application will remain valid for 6 months, so no need to fill out multiple applications.


You'll be emailed once your application is approved. At that time you are able to take a pet home for a trial visit.


Once you meet your new fur-baby, you will be able to take the animal home for a week trial period to ensure a good fit before committing to adopt.

Zeus' Rescues $300 adoption fee includes: spay/neuter, microchip, first round of vaccines including rabies vaccine, first round of flea and heartworm prevention.

*We assume our animals are house-trained as they don't like to soil their kennels and are used to going outside multiple times a day to relieve themselves. Of course with any change of environment, accidents can happen so we advise new adopters to establish a routine at the start. Dogs love routine and are fast learners.
