Ollie has been flourishing with his foster but is going to need a dedicated home.

Ollie joined rescue a little overweight and is slowly shedding the pounds and getting more and more active. Frisbee has been Ollie’s go-to exercise! He loves chasing it and will probably be good at catching it if someone takes the time to teach him! Ollie is great with cats, has been fine with chickens, and has done well with dogs with slow introductions. He would do best with a female dog but the right male would be considered. As long as introductions are slow and done right, not forced, he will be fine.

Ollie is going to need continued training; he’s pretty much a blank slate and he would benefit from a group class. He knows sit and down and has recently started walking well on a leash. He doesn’t have a recall and will need a fenced-in yard and someone who will continue working on it with him. Ollie has never really looked at his person as a leader and is going to need someone that will put in the work and build a bond with him. He wants to please but also wants to do things his way so someone he can trust will build that bond best! He sleeps soundly in a crate all night and is house trained.

Ollie is a lot of dog and isn’t for the first time dog owner. A home with older kids would be best as quick, sudden movements and grabs from young kids will startle him. So homes with kids under 12 will NOT be considered. Ollie is neutered and up-to-date on vetting.

If you are the perfect forever home for Ollie, please fill out an application and contact his foster parents at faithandquest2@gmail.com. BRBCR’s approval process includes phone interviews, reference checks, and a home visit prior to meeting a foster dog. Approved applicants must meet at the foster dog’s location. Every adoption begins with a 2-week trial period.

Ollie’s adoption fee is $350.

Thank you for considering a rescue dog!

BRBCR's adoption process requires that each of the following steps are successfully completed before meeting one of our foster dogs. The approval process typically takes 1 - 2 weeks. 1. Contact the foster parent of the dog that you are interested in to request an adoption application. 2. Fill out an adoption application on our website OR email a completed adoption application to brbcrdogs@gmail.com. 3. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a phone interview with the applicant and the applicant's veterinarian and personal references. 4. A BRBCR volunteer will conduct a home visit with the applicant. Upon approval, the foster parent will set up a Meet and Greet for the applicant. If the Meet and Greet is successful, then the applicant will be able to take the BRBCR dog home for a 2-week trial period. If the trial period is successful, the adoption becomes official.
