Ollie's Story

Sweet Ollie is the most adorable socialite! This speckled cutie loves all dogs and loves spending time playing with his friends. Ollie is gentle with all people and adores being pet. Ollie has also been friendly with cats, pigs, and farm animals. While Ollie is hearing impaired, it's actually difficult to notice! Ollie picks up on social cues from other dogs, knows some signs/commands, and has a very perceptive nose. Being deaf, Ollie is a hardcore napper and doesn't wake up from loud noises. There's something so peaceful about watching him rest curled up on his favorite dog bed. Ollie has had a history of vomiting after eating, of unknown origin, but has mostly resolved. We aren't quite sure what causes his occasional upchuck, but it certainly doesn't impede his happiness (or GI function). Ollie is heartworm negative, vaccinated, microchipped, and neutered. His joyous personality would be an excellent addition to any dog lover's home.<br/><br/>Interested in learning more about Ollie? Code Red Animal Project Inc.'s Adoption Policy
All of our adoptions are foster-to-adopt, giving adopters the opportunity to have a trial period. We firmly believe that it is impossible to know if a pet will be a good fit for your home based on a brief encounter. A trial period allows you to see the pet in your home as they decompress and find comfort, and introduce them to different situations and settings that are important in your life. Prior to finalizing adoption, we ask that the pet be seen by your vet so that your trusted veterinary team can assess the animal's health, note vaccination records, and prescribe 6-12 months of heartworm prevention (for dogs).
