Ollie's Story
Meet Ollie! This sweet, gentle soul has officially settled into Minnesota and is truly blossoming. While he can still be a little cautious around fast movements, his true personality is shining through—and it turns out he is an absolute social butterfly. Ollie’s number one favorite thing is people, and he loves meeting everyone from adults to kids. In fact, he gets a little bummed out on walks if a passerby doesn't stop to say hi!

He is also discovering a love for toys and enjoys spending time outside more than inside! When the outdoor fun has ended the only place you can find him inside is in a bunch of blankets. Forget standard dog beds; Ollie is a professional blanket burrower. He loves nothing more than curling up and burying himself in soft blankets for a good snooze.

Ollie is a quick learner who thrives on routine. He is fully kennel trained, sleeps through the night, and even snoozed right through recent thunderstorms. While he isn't fully potty trained yet, he does wonderfully when kept on a regular outdoor schedule. He is also an absolute angel with grooming and has no issues being picked up.

Ollie does great with other dogs. It took him about a day to warm up to his foster sister, but now they are running full-speed zoomies together! Walking Ollie is an entertaining experience because he has no middle speed; he is either moving fast or completely stopped.

Ollie’s ideal forever home needs a patient family who will keep him on a routine, plenty of people to love on him, and an endless supply of blankets. If you are looking for a loyal, affectionate sidekick who will love your friends as much as he loves you, Ollie is ready to curl up on your couch!

Ollie is estimated to be 9 months old and 38 lbs. Since we don’t know the dog’s actual genetics, this is just a guess on breed and size when grown. All dogs have had a vet examination, are up to date on all vaccinations, have been given dewormer and heartworm prevention. Dogs over 7 months have been heartworm tested.

If you are interested in meeting this dog please complete the adoption application on our website at https://safehandsrescue.org/adoption-process/ and then we can contact you about setting up a meeting.

We are also holding the following upcoming adoption events!

Please note: All dogs/puppies will not be at every event, and some may find their home prior to the event. If you are interested in a specific animal, please check our Facebook page for confirmed attendance the morning of the event: https://www.facebook.com/safehandsrescue/
You do not need to have a Facebook account to check the Safe Hands Facebook page for attendance. We hope to see you at an upcoming Meet & Greet!

Saturday, May 23, 12-2pm, Forgotten Star Brewing, 38 Northern Stacks Drive, Fridley, https://www.facebook.com/events/2962626550587880

Saturday, May 30, 1:30-3:30pm, Insight Brewing, 2821 E.
