Olivia (Olli) Deaf's Story

Olivia, also known as Olli, is a friendly and quiet female dog. She is dignified but affectionate and gentle. She is very curious about the world and her affectionate nature makes her the perfect best friend. Olli is a lovely dog who would love to find a forever home and a family to call her own.
She is very people-focused and loves to be around humans, so she would make a great addition to any family although young active children could make her nervous. Because of her disability a lot of activity around her could cause some anxiousness. Olli has been around other animals here at the rescue and does well.
She is a senior dog and has been through a lot, but she has so much love to give. If you're looking for a best friend, Olivia is the one for you!

Olli is either extremely hard of hearing or Deaf. She does display quite a few behaviors of a dog that does not hear including sleeping through sounds and poor recall but is learning sign language and oddly enough can tell when it's meal time even though she's not particularly food motivated. Because of this, we would prefer that she has a secured fenced area to enjoy her free time outside.
As a senior, we know that she is starting to show signs of her age but we truly believe that this wonderful girl deserves a retirement home that can take her for quiet walks, let her cuddle and watch TV and have a soft pillow to lay on, her favorite thing to do.

Olivia is spayed, fully vaccinated, and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $350 and helps to ensure that we can continue to help dogs like her in the future. If you're interested in learning more about Olivia please feel free to text us at 253-363-7908 or you could submit an online application for her through our website at www.valhallarescue.org/adopt

Thank you for your interest in adopting a rescue dog.
