Olivia's Story
Meet Olivia

Olivia joined us from Front Street Shelter after being dropped off as a “stray” and heartbreakingly separated from her bonded companion. Despite that loss and all she's been through, Olivia remains a deeply devoted, loving little girl who simply wants to be near her person.

Approximately 10 years young and weighing just under 10 pounds, Olivia has recently had mammary tumor removal surgery, a full dental, and has been spayed. She is recovering beautifully and has no mobility issues. She enjoys her walks, loves sunbathing, and while she does have some cloudiness in her eyes, it does not appear to impact her vision at this time.

Olivia is the definition of a velcro dog. She will happily follow you from room to room and is most content curled up beside you. She sleeps much of the day and truly thrives on companionship. She would do best in a home where someone is around most of the time — she bonds deeply and wants to be part of your daily life.

She is potty trained to go outside and is an easy, low-maintenance companion. She gets along well with other dogs her size and with a similar calm energy. While she even finds comfort curling up with her foster's Labrador, she is reactive to unfamiliar dogs when on leash. With proper management and awareness, this is very manageable.

Olivia is not crate trained and becomes extremely distressed if crated. However, she does well when safely confined to a room or indoor kennel space when needed.

Because of her calm nature and desire for a peaceful environment, Olivia would do best in a home without small children. She is a simple, sweet senior girl looking for stability, love, and a soft place to land for the rest of her life.

If you're searching for a loyal, gentle companion who will adore you endlessly and warm your lap and your heart, Olivia is waiting.
