While his past taught him to be cautious, it’s clear that once he feels safe, Oliver settles beautifully into home life.<br/><br/>In his new foster home, Oliver has shown just how wonderful he can be. He’s fantastic in the house and has proven to be trustworthy when left out — no accidents, no mischief, and no interest in getting into anything he shouldn’t. <br/><br/>Oliver is also excellent on walks, strolling along without pulling, and he takes his role as household “security” seriously — he’ll happily alert you when packages arrive! 😄<br/><br/>Oliver tolerated his bath calmly and without issue, stood patiently while being washed, and handled leash time beautifully. This handsome little guy has had a life that taught him to be cautious, so he takes time to trust new people and had a few incidents where he was snippy when someone tried to do something he wasn't ready for - not out of meanness, but out of fear. Because of this, Oliver will need a home without children and with someone who understands that good things take time.<br/><br/>Cats? They seems to be no problem! Oliver met his foster’s cats while on leash and showed zero interest, even when one confidently walked right up to him. They will let us know if that changes but he seems to be cat friendly!<br/><br/>Oliver will do best in an adult-only home with someone who understands that trust is built through patience and consistency.
