Oliver is a 3-year-old Border Collie/Australian Shepherd/Red Heeler mix who’s equal parts affectionate snuggle bug and high-energy goofball. If you’re looking for a pup to hike with by day and cuddle up with on the couch by night, Oliver is your guy!<br/><br/>This handsome boy is housebroken, crate-comfortable, knows his basic commands, and lives for playtime. Tug-of-war? Yes. Ball chasing? Absolutely. Wrestling matches with dog friends? Count him in! His play style is energetic and mouthy, so he does best with other playful pups who can match his vibe.<br/><br/>Oliver is a total love when it comes to his people, he’s happiest when snuggled up on you or right next to you. But he does have a protective streak, and new people or sudden movements (like joggers, bikes, or scooters) can be very triggering for him. Because of this, he needs a calm, structured home without small children and ideally with someone experienced in working with reactive dogs.<br/><br/>He's never lived with cats and gets very excited when seeing them outside, so a cat-free home would be best. Oliver was originally adopted from Lucky’s Place as “Valentine,” and while he’s had a loving home since, his family knows he needs a more experienced, low-key environment where he can thrive.
