Oliver's Story

We just rescued OLIVER from a kill shelter in North Carolina and are so grateful that our fantastic foster could take him on very short notice. While he has only been there for a few days, she says he is super sweet and gets along with all of her dogs. OLIVER is a Terrier possibly Schnauzer mix, 7 years old, just 18 pounds, neutered, housebroken. He has a coarse coat and obviously very adorable prominent ears that perked up as soon as he left the shelter on his freedom ride. They were always down while he was at the shelter. His ears show his excitement and gratitude for a new beginning. While he is safe in a foster home for now, he still needs a forever home. The Rescue Express's Adoption Policy
All potential foster families and adopters are required to fill out an application, both of which can be found on our website. Our foster families are our biggest resource, and the more foster families we add to our family, the more dogs we can save. Our foster families are required to provide a loving, healthy, temporary home for the dogs that we have pulled from shelters who have yet to find their forever families. The rescue covers all medical expenses while our dogs are in foster care. We also require our foster families to work with one of our trainers to address any behavioral problems that develop.
