Oliver's Story

Oliver came to us via our vet, Oliver's daddy was going to put him down because Oliver needed a $6,000 surgery for his bladder. We took him in and got a second opinion regarding his bladder situation and learned we would need to give him meds daily to help him urinate normally. When he first arrived we had to catheterize him because he was unable to urinate and it was very painful for him.

Once we began giving him his medications he has had no issues. We have waited before putting him up for his forever family in order to analyze his medical needs.

Oliver will need to take the medications for the rest of his life in order to live a comfortable and happy life. He will require frequent vet visits regarding his bladder in order to ensure a safe and happy life.

Oliver is very protective of his person and would be best suited to be an only canine in his forever home. He is threatened by certain large dogs and will bark incessantly at them telling them he is the boss. Oliver was raised as an only child, and when I say child, I mean, he didn't know he was a dog when he came into our fold. He has learned how to be a dog, but he does deserve to be an only child again. And now that he is medically clear, AS LONG AS HIS MEDS ARE GIVEN DAILY, he is ready to go to someone who has his best interests at heart.

Oliver loves toys, and cuddles, as well as herding you as you clean or organize your house. His herding instincts are strong.

Oliver will also require grooming every 4-6 weeks to keep his coat healthy and beautiful. If not cared for he will have a messy bottom and tangles in his hair.

So, if you love a silly, rambunctious, bossy guy, who loves his person without fail then Oliver is the boy you want to meet.

Oliver must be an only child. Oliver is a special boy to us and we want him to go to the most absolute loving family ever. He deserves it.
