Hi... my name is Prada. 💛<br/><br/>I'm only about a year and four months old, but I've already learned that life isn't always kind.<br/><br/>I don't know what it feels like to have a family that's truly mine. I don't know what it's like to fall asleep every night knowing I'm safe, loved, and never going to be left behind. But I dream about it every day.<br/><br/>I'm a beautiful brindle and white Pit Bull mix with a heart that still believes there's someone out there for me. Despite everything I've been through, I still greet people with a wagging tail and hope in my eyes. I still believe my person is coming.<br/><br/>I love being around other dogs and would be so happy to have a furry friend to play with. More than anything, though, I just want someone who will love me and never give up on me.<br/><br/>I do struggle a little with food. Sometimes I worry that what's mine might be taken away, and I can become protective during mealtime. The shelter thinks it's because of things I experienced before I arrived here. I'm not trying to be difficult--I'm just scared sometimes. With patience, understanding, and kindness, I know I can learn that I'll never have to worry about my next meal again.<br/><br/>The shelter isn't sure yet if I'm house-trained or crate-trained, but I'm young and ready to learn. I just need someone willing to teach me and believe in me.<br/><br/>I've had my first round of vaccines, flea and tick treatment, and dewormer. I'll need to come back for my spay appointment, but I'm ready to start my new life as soon as you are.<br/><br/>Every day I sit and wait, watching people walk past my kennel, hoping someone will stop and see me. Our contact number is 270-887-4175. The shelter is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10:30-4 and is closed daily for lunch from 12:30-1. Adoptions are done on a first come first serve basis for owner releases. Strays have a wait list.
