I thought I had found my forever home... but I'm back, hoping someone will give me another chance.” <br/><br/>Hi, I'm Olive!<br/><br/>I'm a beautiful 6–8-year-old Black Lab mix, and I'm hoping someone will look past my age and see just how much love I still have to give.<br/><br/>I originally came to the shelter as a stray, and when no one came to claim me, I started looking for a new family. I thought I'd found one when I was adopted, but unfortunately, I'm back at the shelter.<br/><br/>Why? Well, apparently, my listening ears don't always work when someone calls me! <br/><br/>My new family discovered that my recall needs some work, and that's something my next family will need to be prepared to help me with.<br/><br/>But here's the good news...<br/><br/>I LOVE treats! <br/><br/>And that means we have a great starting point for training! With patience, consistency, and some tasty rewards, I can work on learning to come when called.<br/><br/>Until I've mastered that skill, I'll need a securely fenced yard and a family committed to keeping me safe. No off-leash adventures in unsecured areas for this girl!<br/><br/> A little more about me:<br/><br/> I'm estimated to be 6–8 years old and already spayed!<br/><br/> I'm an incredibly sweet girl who has been wonderful with shelter staff and volunteers.<br/><br/> I've spent time around children and have been very kind with them.<br/><br/> No cats for me, please.<br/><br/> I can do great with other dogs, especially those around my own size who are respectful of my personal space! I'm not a fan of dogs getting right in my face or being pushy. If another dog barks at me or gets in my business, I can get a little bossy and let them know I don't appreciate it. No small dogs for me, please.
