Meet Olive! Olive is an 8-month-old pit bull terrier mix, who is eager to find her fur-ever family. She is incredibly sweet and has lots of love to give! Olive appears to be deaf; she would thrive in a home where patience and commitment to training take priority.<br/><br/>OLIVE LOVES...<br/> Meal time - We are focused on gaining weight and she willingly snarfs down breakfast, lunch, and dinner. <br/> Napping - The couch is Olive's favorite place to rest. You can always hear her snoring from the next room! <br/> Snuggling - Give Olive all the blankets! Add a human or pup to cuddle with, and she is in heaven. <br/> Playing with other dogs - Tug of war, chase, and wrestling entertain her most.<br/> Chewing on bones - Elk antlers and retriever rolls really tickle her fancy.<br/><br/>OLIVE IS LEARNING...<br/> Sign language! Communicating with a deaf pup is easier than one might expect. We have introduced signs for, "sit," "come," "down," "outside," "go potty," and "good girl!" <br/> The crate is a safe space. We are working on crate training daily.<br/> Going potty should happen outside. Olive is having fewer accidents in the house and successfully learning where to pee and poo.<br/> Walking on-leash outside. Olive is gaining comfort and confidence on our walks in the yard and neighborhood.<br/><br/>Olive is gentle, eager to learn and please, and highly motivated by treats! She is extra special and sure to bring her future family all the joy in the world!<br/><br/>ADOPTION PROCESS<br/>1. Review our adoption contract and application.<br/><br/>2. Call your vet and references to inform them that a rescue representative will be calling.<br/><br/>3. If for whatever reason you do not take the animal home after the first meeting, please understand that we will continue to process applications for the animal and availability is not guaranteed.<br/><br/>4.
