Meet Olive
Olive is a cutie patootie! For an eight-year-old girl, she is full of spunk and as sweet as can be. We rescued Olive from a high kill shelter and brought her to our safety. She was in rough shape when she first arrived. But she’s been getting good food, received multiple baths and lots of love. This girl is ready to find her forever home.
We think Olive is a beagle/dachshund mix. She has a super sweet personality. She loves attention. She is always smiling and has lots of tail wags for her hoomans. She has the friendliest personality. She’s a low-rider and petite. Olive loves sunning herself and going for walks. Olive doesn’t need a lot of exercise and would be a great companion for an older or less active person/family. She does well with people. She is selective on which dogs she tolerates, so we believe she would do best in a home without other pets. We have not tested her with cats but could do so if needed.
If you are looking for a wonderful companion to keep you company or travel with, Olive may be just perfect for you. We think she’s pretty perfect and just a love of a puppers.

All adopters must complete an approval process which involves a reference check with current/recent vet and a brief home visit if located in the immediate area. We do permit out of state adoptions. Adopters MUST come to the shelter to transport their new family member home. We do not ship nor do we transport them to their new homes. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a No kill shelter. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Resident animals are primarily owner relinquished and also accepted from local Animal Control. The facility usually is operating at capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open.
