Olin's Story

AN INQUIRY FROM PETFINDER IS NOT AN APPLICATION! READ THE ENTIRE POST FOR INFORMATION HOW TO APPLY.

Meet Olin! Olin is a 5 year old male poodle and he weighs about 15 pounds. Olin arrived in rescue when his previous family could no longer care for him. He has settled into his foster home but he would love a forever family to call his own. His foster mom says: Meet Olin, a gentle boy with a heart of gold who is blossoming more and more every single day! Olin is a sensitive pup learning that the world isn't so scary after all. When feeling uncertain, he will cower and avoid eye contact, but he is making huge strides and taking brave little risks he wouldn't have made weeks ago. Watching him learn to trust is incredibly rewarding! Because leash walks and front yards are still spooky for him, Olin needs a secure, fenced-in backyard where he can feel safe to run and play. Wonderful with older kids, cats, and other dogs, he knows "stay," respects open doors, and is housebroken on a regular schedule—just be ready for his required post-potty head rub immediately after! This sweet sidekick quietly follows you from room to room, loves sleeping close at night, and adores his toys (though he's still learning which household items aren't toys, making the most adorable guilty face when caught!). Being left alone makes him nervous but he handles it like a total champ with no barking or whining. Olin doesn't need or want a loud life; he just needs a patient, loving home that will give him the reassurance he deserves. Give him a little time, plenty of belly & head rubs, and this gentle soul will love you back ten times over!

Olin is neutered, up to date on vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped and has had his teeth cleaned.

Olin is fostered in the Orlando area and his adoption donation is $325. If you aer interested in applying to adopt Olin, please visit www.floridalittledogrescue.com to read the adoption process and complete an application! Please note that emails simply asking "Is this dog available" will not be returned, as applications are worked in the order received and availability largely depends on when you apply:) Please also know we do not adopt out of state! Thank you!
