Ogima's Story

Ogimaa is not only handsome but is also an extremely sweet 8 year old boy. He is absolutely a Velcro dog, wherever you go he will fearlessly follow:). He loves cuddling with his people but will never shy away from taking a nap on a pile of pillows like a true prince that he is. He will share a pillow with you or just use your neck as his pillow depending on his mood. Ogima also loves to be active. His age does not slow him down at all. He loves playing fetch and taking walks. He also loves to play tug-of-war, but he's a little too strong for his foster mom so he's looking for someone that is at his advanced level! He is goofy and quirky and very loving to his people. He has an adorable bald spot on the top of his head.
When Ogimaa came to us, he came from a situation where he was predominantly with one handler for the past 5-6 years and prior to that he might not have been in the greatest environment based from what we were told. Because of that, Ogimaa will need to have that special family/person. He will need someone that can take the time to understand him and have patience with him. He does get along with other dogs and cats(is in a home with multiple of both) but can be selective and will need slow introductions to both. If there are other animals, it would be best for him to go home with only 1-2 other animals. It would also be best he goes to a quieter home, ideally away from too much traffic and noise. And though Ogi loves children, it would be best if he doesn't go to a home with young children as quick movements or loud noises can be triggering for him and he can forget his manners.
We know Ogimaa's forever family is out there where he can live out his retirement years! He's a handsome fella that like many just comes with some baggage but once he finds his people, he will love them forever!
