Odin's Story

Hi! My name is Odin, and I'm looking for my forever home!

I was picked up as a stray by animal control and taken to a shelter where, after my hold time was up and no one came looking for me, I was placed on the euthanasia list. I was down to my very last day when a BCAA volunteer saw me and said they would help me. Talk about a lucky break!

No one is exactly sure what breed mixes I might be, but there's a good chance I have some Lab in me. Whatever my mix, my foster mom says I'm one handsome dude! I'm around 10 months to a year old and weigh about 45 pounds.

I can be a little shy when I first meet you, but once I get to know you, I completely warm up and become a total love bug. I'm super sweet and gentle, and once I feel comfortable, I want nothing more than to be by your side and be your best friend. I'm also great with kids and have done wonderfully with other dogs!

I'm already housebroken and absolutely perfect in my crate. I don't have accidents, rarely bark, and haven't tried to redecorate my bedding! That said, my favorite place is definitely wherever my people are, and I'd much rather be out and about with you.

I walk well on leash and enjoy going for walks, exploring, and taking in all the sights and smells. I have shown a little too much interest in cats, though, so a home without cats would probably be best for me.

After everything I've been through, I'm really hoping my next stop is my forever home. If you're looking for a sweet, gentle, loyal guy who just wants to love his people and be part of a family, I might be your guy!

If you'd like to learn more about me or meet me, please fill out an application at www.bcaaofnj.org.
